Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Morrison.
Hi Morgan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
When I first started doing hair in 2017, @CrowendbyMona, I knew for a fact that I wanted to own my own hair salon and beauty supply store. In 2020, I moved to Marietta, Georgia and to my surprise I noticed that it was an up and coming area with a lot of available commercial properties. One day in 2021, I was on the way to work and I was thinking about this book that I had been reading by Gray John Bishop. He stated that “You have the life that you are willing to put up with”. Followed by “you get to create the life you want. No one else can take that from you.” With that statement in my mind. It made me look at life in a different perspective. Knowing in my heart that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength- Philippians 4:13. I took my idea of opening a luxury beauty supply store experience for the black community, professional cosmetologists, barbers, aestheticians, nail techs, lash techs and everyone’s beauty needs and I began to turn my dreams into reality! Its faith over fear… Always remember that Faith without work is dead! You have to put in the work for the things that you want! No one can stop you. The only person that can stop you is YOU!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Things are always hard in the beginning but once you start, it will only get better from that point. You just have to keep going, be consistent, be optimistic and learn from your mistakes.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Natural Hair Specialist, Master Loctician, and soon to be Licenced Master Cosmetologist. I am known for numerous of things from my attractive Instagram presentation, my consistent HD parting, my loc styles, extensions/ loc surgery, etc. I am most proud of not giving up on myself, my career and my goals. What sets me apart from others is my go getter personality and positive mindset. Once again, knowing and believing that I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength – Philippians 4:13. Lets me know that NOTHING in this life is impossible. You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to.
Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
Growing up, I was always very creative. As a child, I always wanted to make my own money so I would sell candy, babysit, walk dogs, wash cars, cut grass, clean houses, really anything that I could start with no or low start-up cost. I was always selling something or doing something that involved having to create my own brand and market myself. I have always had this get it out of the mud mindset and my creativity would follow.
