Hi Nikita, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Well, I had always been playing in makeup since middle school. I started out filling my eyebrows using whatever drugstore pencils I could find around the house. From there my love for makeup began to flourish. Granted, my eyebrows were super dark and super thick, but you have to start from somewhere. I binged makeup tutorials on YouTube any time I found downtime. My family invested into my interests; every holiday or birthday, I was gifted makeup sets and nail polishes to add to my growing collection of Walmart and department store beauty sets. Once I got into high school, I noticed how well my makeup skills had gotten and were only getting better, and in college I would practice on friends and family still. Once COVID-19 happened my high school graduation year, I really had nothing but free time. I started a YouTube channel (Nikita Reyanna) dedicated to all things makeup and have been going up since there. Over the next year and half, I did nothing but practice and push out tutorials on my platforms. Showcasing my client work and my talents on myself and educating with tutorials. Fast forward to now, I started The Favored Faces makeup artistry as my first business endeavor. Taking as many or as little clients as I could fit into my schedule. Currently, I’m only offering travel glam face paint and makeup services until I move into my studio location.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has been an up-and-down journey. Since starting in 2021, business has been fluctuating. Starting out, products and materials were scarce until I saved funds to begin fully investing into the business. Being that I am self-taught, I’ve had to learn new techniques and master them along with mastering what works best for me and my clients. Not having a consistent location or schedule is currently the dilemma we’re facing on our journey.

I’m a traveling makeup artist; specializing in eyebrows and glam makeup application. I’m most known for my sharp natural brow technique & my eyeshadow brushwork. I also offer face painting, photoshoot glam, and natural makeup services. I’m most proud of how quick and precise I am when I apply the makeup. The application is vibrant and seamless and almost always gives a super lightweight finish. What sets me apart is how personable I am and the experience I give my clients. Being that I am a smaller business, I have to stand out with marketing, my skills, and my overall presence and conversation abilities.
Any big plans?
I’m most looking forward to the brand photoshoot with new makeup models and finally opening The Favored Faces’ glam studio; which will be the biggest and most important change to come. I have so many things in store for my makeup artistry and I can’t wait to share them with my audience.
