Conversations with Nitro Billy Goat

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nitro Billy Goat.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am an artist born in Atlanta, GA. My father introduced me into music and I watched his old videos on VHS tapes and that’s when became interested in music. Growing up, I played drums in church but didn’t attend band in school. I started recording music in his childhood bedroom with my friends 6blanco and R3b3l Tha 1. I started taking it seriously by dropping multiple mixtapes with the pair throughout high school. I became a solo artist in 2019 and I started producing beats in 2020. Dropping my first project “Alter Ego”. I then became comfortable in the music business by performing at local clubs and booking paid shows seeing some success. My next achievement in getting one of his songs on The Hot 100 Billboard charts.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It hasn’t been smooth at all honestly. Most of my success has come by surprise. I was just being in the right spot at the right times. While being consistent of course.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m a rapper but I also engineer and produce as well. What sets me apart is I can do it all on my own when I don’t have anyone around. I’m most proud of my progress and my first Ep called “Evolving”. What sets me apart from others is that I stick to myself and no one is the Billy Goat but me.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
Don’t worry about being perfect. A little progress is better than thinking about a lot of it…
