Hi Porsha, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I got started as a content creator after feeling incredibly frustrated with the amount of misinformation circulating online about one of my favorite artists, Drake. As a longtime fan, I knew the facts and found myself constantly correcting inaccurate narratives in conversations and online discussions. Eventually, I realized there was a real opportunity to create content that provided clear, accurate, and engaging updates about pop culture, music news, and reality TV — all topics I’m passionate about.
What started as a way to share my thoughts and connect with like-minded people quickly grew into something much bigger. Over time, I built a community of followers who appreciated my honest takes, deep dives, and entertaining commentary. Now, I create content full-time, blending my love for storytelling with trending topics to keep my audience informed and engaged. It’s been an exciting journey, and I’m proud to have turned my passion into a platform where people can trust the information they’re getting — and have a little fun along the way.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road — more like driving down a street full of potholes with no GPS signal. While I’ve been fortunate to receive an overwhelming amount of love and support, I’ve also become a magnet for hate mail from Kendrick Lamar fans. Apparently, they have unlimited data plans and plenty of free time. I even get daily death threats — which I like to think just means I’m doing my job really well.
But honestly, none of that overshadows the positivity I’ve experienced. Things took a major turn for the better when Drake posted one of my videos on his finsta — that was exciting! Since then, things have really taken off.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I create pop culture content, but my niche — and honestly, my claim to fame — is all things Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar. People know me for my funny, witty, yet honest and factual takes on their ongoing rivalry. I pride myself on blending humor with accuracy, which keeps my content entertaining but still rooted in facts.
What I’m most proud of is the trust I’ve built with my audience. Whether they’re die-hard Drake fans, Kendrick loyalists, or just here for the chaos, people know they can count on me to break down the drama in a way that’s both insightful and hilarious.
What sets me apart is my ability to strike that balance — I can crack jokes and still deliver credible information. Plus, I’m not afraid to say the quiet part out loud, even if it ruffles a few feathers. At the end of the day, my content feels like you’re catching up with that one friend who always keeps it real — and that’s exactly what I aim for.
Is there something surprising that you feel even people who know you might not know about?
My dream in college was to become a political journalist. I even started the news station at my school and had a whole team and I was the anchor. That dream became a dream deferred as life got in the way. But now I feel like things are coming full circle and I’m realizing that dream all over again in a new imagined way.
