Conversations with Princess Banks

Today we’d like to introduce you to Princess Banks

Hi Princess, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago. That contrast shaped my perspective and fueled my ambition. I originally pursued a corporate career, following the traditional path of school, job, and stability. But deep down, I always knew I was meant for something bigger. Inspired by Oprah and other media moguls, I took a leap of faith and moved to Atlanta to chase my dreams of being a media host.

Within just four months, I started landing major opportunities, working red carpets, interviewing celebrities, and building my brand. Along the way, I faced challenges, figuring things out through trial and error, navigating industry politics, and finding genuine connections. But through faith, hard work, and determination, I’ve created a lane for myself.

Now, I’m not just a media correspondent, I’m also a podcast host. My show, CEO Confessions Sho.w, is on YouTube, where I dive into the realities of entrepreneurship. I also organize networking events and create spaces for entrepreneurs and content creators to connect. My goal is to inspire and connect people while continuing to grow my presence in media and beyond. The journey hasn’t been easy, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but every challenge has shaped me into the person I am today. One of the biggest struggles has been navigating the media industry without a clear blueprint. There’s no step-by-step guide on how to succeed in this space, so I’ve had to figure things out through trial and error. I’ve worked with reputable brands, but I’ve also encountered people who only wanted to use my connections rather than build genuine relationships.

Another challenge has been finding true mentors and friends in the industry. It can be tough to connect with people who genuinely want to see you win, especially in a field where competition and egos can sometimes get in the way. I’ve had to rely on discernment and prayer to build a solid support system, and while it’s still a work in progress, I’m grateful for the people I have around me now.

Despite these struggles, I’ve remained focused on my purpose. I believe in staying resilient, learning from every setback, and continuing to show up for myself and my brand. The road hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a media correspondent, host, and entrepreneur who specializes in covering events, interviewing celebrities, and creating engaging conversations that inspire and inform. I’m known for my ability to ask real, no-fluff questions, whether I’m moderating a panel, hosting a red carpet, or sitting down for an exclusive interview. My show, CEO Confessions Show on YouTube, gives entrepreneurs a platform to share their journeys, highlighting both the wins and struggles of building a business.

I also organize networking events that bring together entrepreneurs, content creators, and influencers to connect, collaborate, and grow. Creating safe spaces for people to share resources and build relationships is something I’m extremely passionate about.

What I’m most proud of is my ability to carve out my own lane in media, despite not having a traditional background or industry connections when I started. I took a leap of faith, moved to Atlanta, and within months, I was working with major brands. My resilience, work ethic, and ability to connect with people on a deeper level set me apart.

What truly differentiates me is my authenticity and versatility. I bring the same energy whether I’m interviewing A-list celebrities, hosting a business event, or sharing my own experiences as an entrepreneur. My goal is always to uplift, inform, and inspire, and I take pride in making every conversation meaningful.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
One of my favorite childhood memories is simply having a childhood, a time when life was carefree, and we truly lived in the moment. We played outside from sunup to sundown, riding bikes, jumping rope, playing tag, and making up the most creative games with our friends. There were no distractions from social media or technology, just pure, genuine fun.

Summers felt endless, and the smallest things brought the biggest joy, whether it was running through sprinklers, racing down the block, or getting excited when the ice cream truck came around. We didn’t need much, just each other. Those were the days when friendships were built on laughter, adventure, and shared experiences, not just messages on a screen.

Looking back, I’m grateful to have had that kind of childhood, one filled with fun, imagination, and a strong sense of community. It shaped who I am today and reminds me of the importance of being present, enjoying life, and creating real connections.
