Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronnell Tomedonou.
Hi Ronnell, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My husband wanted a dollar store. So, we opened a dollar store/party store in Woodstock, GA. There was a need for a bigger party store in the area. We had the opportunity to move and expand. Here we are… We moved 5 miles down the road. We definitely took our vision a little further than we had anticipated. I like to say that we have a one-stop party shop. We not only have party supplies, we offer balloon services which include delivery and installation; we offer table and chair rental, we have an event center inside of the store, and we print banners, yard signs, easel signs, custom invitations, step and repeat and custom cutouts.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Being a business owner is not easy. We still have day-to-day challenges. I believe that we face the same challenges as the big box retailers. We are definitely hanging in there.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love giving customer service to our customers. This is what makes me happy. Serving my community. When you make someone happy, I have done my job. What sets us apart from our competitors is that hometown feel. We ask our customers a lot, just to get to the reason for their celebration. We ask when is your event; this way when we are selling the balloons, we can pinpoint the longevity of the float time of the balloons so they would last through your event. Our customers really appreciate this. With our repeat customers, we do our best to remember our customers by name.
