Today we’d like to introduce you to Seth Weiner.
Hi Seth, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I was the most outgoing kid in elementary school and my love for music led to a pastime of booking bands, promoting concerts, managing volunteers for music festivals the likes of Coachella, developing a volunteer management software, and being the hype man but found out auctioneering by chance (on stage with a volunteer trying to sell and I ended up -spur of the moment- jumping in to help out and raised more than the org ever had).
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
All in all, it’s been pretty smooth. My career didn’t start off as a cash cow, never has really been. However, it continues to evolve. I am very happy where I find myself today and wouldn’t be here if not for all the opportunities that came my way.

As Your Rocktioneer®, a benefit auctioneer fundraising specialist, I work with NPOs in helping them raise as much revenue as possible. The way I see it is every event should be fun and innovative. My take is that every person who supports their organization is a Rockstar and should be treated that way. I believe the tools I provide empower my clients for success and bring passion back into the planning process

When someone hears that I am an auctioneer, the first thing they all ask is “Can I hear you talk really fast?” Truth be told, as a benefit auctioneer, the “chant” is the least part of what we provide. It’s with this consultation that we are able to establish realistic goals and raise beyond those goals! One of the best ways to support me is by doing an email introduction to someone you know that works with a NPO. It could be their Development Director, a volunteer, or anyone in between.
