Conversations with Stephanie Wright

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Wright.

Hi Stephanie, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstories with our readers.
I’ve spent my life as a people-pleasing perfectionist playing it safe, staying small, and seeking permission. My measure of success was how much external validation I received.

Then when I was 40 weeks pregnant with my daughter, I got Bells Palsy. And while my medical team couldn’t pinpoint the cause, I believe it was triggered by stress and burnout. I was so disconnected from myself and my body that I didn’t know when to stop. This was a literal slap in the face to wake up from living for other people. I embarked on a journey to figure out who I was, who I wanted to be, what I wanted to do, and how to start prioritizing myself.

In June 2021, I made the decision to leave behind my corporate marketing career to become a Cosmic Life Coach. Today, I’m on a mission to help women, especially mamas, find self-acceptance and love, trust and believe in themselves through coaching, Astrology, Tarot, breathwork, and meditation. I’m living my dreams and I want to help them live theirs!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Entrepreneurship has been the test of a lifetime. My biggest challenge has been believing in myself. I’ve learned it’s not enough that people tell you ‘you can do it’ or opportunities you receive that show you ‘hey, you’re doing it!’ YOU have to believe you can do it – that your dreams are possible. Every great thing starts with the seed of belief. Remind yourself every day – you got this!

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I offer 1:1 coaching, Astrology, and Tarot readings. I LOVE what I do because it gives me an opportunity to share the tools that have changed my life with others. Coaching, Astrology, Tarot, breathwork, and meditation have given me the gift of self-acceptance. Embracing all sides of myself has guided me back to my inner wisdom and power, which has fueled action-taking rooted in joy, excitement, and fulfillment. These cosmic modalities have empowered me when I couldn’t find the power myself. It was the validation I needed to show up as ME – not the pretend version of me that I think society will approve of. They have reminded me that I am a complex and unique multidimensional being. My hope is to help others discover the same.

Risk-taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
I don’t describe myself as a natural-born risk taker. I’ve always lived by and followed the rules – doing everything I was told. I didn’t always like what I was doing but I did them anyway so I would be accepted by society. That led to a lot of repressed feelings, which eventually led to serious health repercussions.

I learned the hard way that I’m not invincible. There’s a story Jim Carrey shared about his dad that has really stuck with me. His dad loved and wanted to be a comedian, but he didn’t think it was possible, so he became an accountant. Eventually, he was let go from his job. The moral of the story: “you can fail at what you don’t want, so you might as well take a chance on doing what you love.”

Why not bet on yourself? You’ll never know what’s possible if you don’t.
