Today we’d like to introduce you to Tamara Gammon. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Tamara Gammon, CEO of Three Dream Designs, LLC, is a multidisciplinary Jamaican artist whose Afro-Caribbean work explores themes of women, abstract expressionism and bright colors.
Her influences from Jamaican, African, Cuban, Haitian and Japanese cultures translate with oil paint, watercolors, acrylic paint and ink on canvas, wood and paper.
In 2004 she relocated to Atlanta, GA from Miami, Florida. Her work can be found in a wide variety of homes in Canada, Europe, The United States, United Kingdom and the Caribbean. In addition, Ms. Gammon’s work has been featured in major retail stores in Atlanta, Miami, Houston and Kingston, JA.
Tamara has now transitioned art from canvas to wearable art. Her new swimsuit and dress line was recently worn by Actress and Influencer Tabitha Brown. Her bag line, The Phoenix sold out the first week it debuted in June of 2020.
With her three sons at the center of it all, she continues to give it her best and soar like a Phoenix.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Fire, COVID and a dislocated shoulder would not deter me from accomplishing my dreams FY 20/21!
Transitioning from corporate employee to being an artist and now designer was not received well. It took many nights and days promoting my brand on social media, in store painting at West Elm and other location to get to where I am today.
Lack of funding has been very difficult, but I have invested every cent I have into my business!

Three Dream Designs now has 75 different products and 65 designs and Tammy’s work has garnered international exposure.
Three Dream Designs has been the featured lifestyle brand in West Elm’s Ponce City Market, Lenox and Avalon store. Recently she expanded her brand to Houston, TX. Tamara now paints live in some West Elm stores and can be seen once per month in the windows of West Elm Avalon in Alpharetta, GA.
The ALOFT Hotel in Downtown Atlanta now exhibits and sells 9 of her new corporate art. Ms. Gammon was also a featured artist at Art Meso’s Market Place in Atlanta on August 13th, debuting her now famous ‘Phoenix’” hand-painted bags and new fall dress designs.
Her solo show “Uncorked” on August 29th at Shezmu Cellars featured 25 of her newest artwork, hand painted home goods line; fall clothing and resort wear as well.
