Conversations with Tayla Andre

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tayla Andre.

Hi Tayla, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am Tayla Andrè. Born in Boston, MA. attended Birmingham Southern College, BA in Political Science. Mom, real estate agent, author, host, inventor, advocate, and radio personality. I have over a decade of experience in interviewing some of society’s most sought after personalities, authors, artists, and public figures, I leverage this skill when working with new homebuyers to create strategic routes to long term success. Currently, I am being mentored by CEO and Founder of All Aces, Inc., Dr. S. Atyia Martin. This mentorship expands my awareness and understanding of the power of consciousness, critical thinking, and community development to catalyze transformative action that advances racial equity and resilience.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
There have always been obstacles and challenges as a Black Woman in America with three children but the truth is I am blessed and highly favored. One of the challenges I desire to tackle is the lack of cultural competence in financial literacy and first-time home buying courses across the nation.  By simplifying the home buying process and guiding clients towards successful homeownership, I aim to transform America’s baseline financial health curriculum to empower current and future generations across the country.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am the principal owner of Tayla Made LLC, a real estate and financial education agency focused on developing and enriching course curriculum for first time homebuyers. ‘Finally, Home. The step by step guide for people preparing for first time homeownership’. Available in both English and Spanish, this course discusses in detail the processes and intimate knowledge that enables families to take an educated approach to buying their first home. Through the devotion to developing people financially, personally, and professionally, I’ve worked to open the conversation of unconventional yet basic financial knowledge I believe will ultimately redefine the future of home buying for people across the nation.

‘Tayla Made Real Estate Easy’ is not just a catchy hashtag. It is my goal; goal to simplify one of the most challenging processes you will go through as an adult; a goal to educate you properly on credit and teach you the strategies to finding the home of your dreams. Unlocking the secret to a seamless home buying experience.

Although my real estate career began out of a passion for understanding gentrification, my brokerage at Thumbprint Realty turned me into the professional agent I am today. Clients seek me out not only because I have years of experience learning from the best in the field, but because I am dedicated and motivated to serve.

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
All Praises Due to the Most High, my ancestors that guide and protect me. My spiritual and business advisor Faith Naturals who has led me to meditation, inner peace, and reflection. My mentor Dr. Atyia Martin plays many roles and wears many hats in my life. I am the leader I am today because of her. Nurys Camargo was the first mentor and still guides me. My three amazing children are my light, my hope, & my greatest creations. I am so proud they chose me to be the vessel to bring them into the universe and the soul to usher them through this world. Of course, I’d give a shout out to my parents who never shut down my dreams and allow me to be the creative that I’ve always been. All of the nurturing I’ve received from those who love me gave me the foundation I needed to be and do my best.
