Conversations with Taylor Beemon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Taylor Beemon.

Hi Taylor, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Taylor Lorin Beemon is a native of Jonesboro, Georgia and she has great pride in her southern roots. She stands on 2nd Corinthians 9:8 which states, “God is able to bless you abundantly so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” She received her secondary education from Clayton County’s Public School district where she graduated with academic and social honors including The Fine Arts Seal of Distinction, The McDonald’s Ray A. Kroc Youth Achievement Award for Outstanding Community Service, and Homecoming Queen. She furthered her education at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia where she received her B.A. in vocal music performance with a minor in dance performance.

Taylor began competing in pageants at 15 years old. Her graceful stage presence, talent, and lasting impact have garnered her semi-finalist and superlative awards across many systems, in addition to three state titles, United States of America’s Miss Georgia 2020 and Mrs. Georgia All-Star United States 2022 and 2025. Outside of pageantry Taylor enjoys sharing the gift of family as an egg donor and pregnancy loss advocate, being an avid Barbie collector, and doing all things decor, craft, and organization. Through her lifestyle blog and Youtube channel she is devoted to being a relatable resource for women in every season of life as they matriculate through the titles of queen, wife, and mama. Above all else she loves being a stay-at-home wife and mama to her middle school sweetheart Corey and their two daughters, Blaire Josephine and Bailey Diana.

The biggest lesson she learned as a single woman is that life goes on and to focus on what you can learn in the midst of what’s happening to you. Before you know it, the heartbreak and disappointing relationships will simply be faded memories that you’ve gained wisdom from. The most valuable lesson that she continues to learn as a wife is that spouses know the best and worst of each other, and true commitment, love, and respect is choosing to remain as one as those best and worst pieces show themselves, change, and improve. As a mother, Taylor continues to learn the value of being in the moment and understanding the importance of pouring from a full cup. Being a mama is a rewarding and ever-changing journey and she gives herself permission to put her best above being the best.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being a stay at home wife and mom can be challenging when trying to still maintain who you are as a woman as well. I have hobbies I want to continue to do, goals I want to reach, and new things I want to try on top of running a household, maintaining a relationship, and raising kids. It is not always smooth and that is ok. This season of life is teaching me that the best and my best are two different things. As long as I’m focusing on my best and not the societal standards of being the best, my life will always find a way back to a smooth path in those rocky moments.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a beauty queen turned stay at home wife and mama, and I like to share the relative content online. Whether I’m talking about black millennial motherhood, pageantry, or lessons I learned when I was single that have shaped me in wifehood, my bottom line is to show other women that happiness and graciousness is something that you can have in every season of life. I’m proud of the online community I’ve built that celebrates women in every season and the great things we do in our homes, communities, and careers.

Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
Be kind and be a good storyteller. People remember how you make them feel and kindness paired with an authentic summary of yourself leads to being remembered. The next thing you’ll know, people are thinking of you for opportunities.
