Today we’d like to introduce you to Trinecia Amor.
Hi Trinecia, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
So in high school, I went to High school for arts and technology, a technology-based high school in Manhattan by Lincoln Center. Tech class was my favorite class and I was an honor roll student but I got principal honors when it came to tech class. I use to finish my work early in my other classes so I could go to the tech room and work on projects/practice my photoshop skills.
As time went on, I realized I enjoyed taking pictures with my phone, which led me to get my first camera. People started to see my work and asked who was my photographer, but I was a self-photographer. My friends told me I should look into photography, so I started to take pictures for people and after a while, I finally decided to take it seriously in February 2021 & launch @Creativiteee_. Picking up a camera was the best thing I could’ve ever done for myself – it changed my life beyond words.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has not been a smooth road – at all. There was plenty of times where I wanted to give up but didn’t because I already know as I go on, things will always be hard – there’s always gonna be struggles being an entrepreneur but that’s what builds character. I think my biggest struggle was support – I now learned that strangers will support you before your own people will. The same people that told me to start my photography career never once supported me – some of them I don’t even speak to anymore – but that’s fine. It did hurt at first, but look how far I’ve come without their support – and I’m only gonna get better in due time.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a celebrity photographer. I specialize in photography and videography. I’m known for my celebrity shots & nightlife shots. I’m most proud of how much I’ve grown, and how much I’ve accomplished. I feel like what sets me apart from others is that I can tell a whole story through my work & I like to storytelling through my work. I love my content where you don’t even have to be there to feel the vibe of the content.
Any advice for finding a mentor or networking in general?
I personally didn’t have a mentor – networking though? Key. Going out to social events, talking to people – you never know. My biggest thing is “someone knows someone”. Nobody’s ever gonna come up to you and tell you who they are and what they do off the back – if they do that’s cool – but most people don’t.
You never know who you’re talking to – so just be nice – be generous and be yourself.
