Today we’d like to introduce you to Tyler Simmons

Hi Tyler, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I knew in high school that when I got older I would own an adult store, I just didn’t know where to begin. I lived in Alabama my whole life and was motivated but not motivated enough to get the ball rolling you know. But once I moved to Atlanta and got used to the “Hustle culture” it got me motivated to finally start my business up. I went to networking events and talked to people to help me build it up and my friend sent me some vendors and the rest was history.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been smooth at all actually. Because of what I sell, I can’t just post what I want on social media to get my name out there. I’ve been in Facebook and Instagram jail more times than I can count, just trying to advertise my products. And sometimes all it is, is a picture and I still get thrown in social media jail. And once you get thrown in there too many times, they ban you from messaging communities and they won’t push your content out. I’ve had to redo my social media accounts just to be able to post. So it’s hard finding content to post that’ll advertise my business, and still be interesting without getting put in social media jail but I’m figuring it out along the way.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I sell adult toys and self care needs. I’m expanding my business and getting a partner business called “Touched By Tyy” where I offer massage services and will soon offer adult capri suns also.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Patience is important! You have to be grounded and understand that everything will not jump off and be as successful as you want it to be as soon as you start it up. So patience is key to success, waiting periods will apply in certain situations.
Also, you have to be somewhat friendly, you need to be someone, somebody would want to approach.
Outgoing also because you will be put into situations where you have to go above and beyond to get yourself out there.
