Daily Inspiration: Meet Aditi Kumar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Aditi Kumar.

Hi Aditi, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I am an ordinary girl with extraordinary dreams. I am a person with varied interests, be it fashion, fitness, beauty, interior decor, travel and food.

I am your quit-essential diva next door. An ambitious and hard-working girl from a small town of India, raised in a progressive and forward-thinking family.

Two master’s degrees and multiple professional certifications later, I spend my time making robots during the day and the rest of my time is spent in learning & fun. Me and my husband, who is a Technical Director in a supply chain company, are licensed realtor in the state of North Carolina. I am the current title holder of Mrs. Bharat USA 2023. I am also the Vice President / Pageant Director of MyDream TV pageants for the state of North Carolina & South Carolina. I graduated from the University of Texas, Dallas in 2009 and now I volunteer as a mentor for the Master’s student at the University of Texas.

I am a passionate believer in the growth mindset, and I carefully invest my time in learning and hustling.

I have a daughter whom I adore and a cat whom I am obsessed with. Me, my husband and our daughter love enjoying food and vacationing around the world.

I draw inspiration from everyone I see and meet.

I truly believe in Karma and only want to send good vibes into the universe.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been smooth at all, but God has been kind. I came to the USA as an immigrant on a dependent visa. Starting a career without a work visa was extremely challenging. I continued with my education, even though I had an MBA degree from my home country, I decided to go for another Master’s degree to increase my career prospects in this country. My husband supported me financially during this period. I went through a lot of initial struggles to find a job on a dependent visa. While I waited for our Green Card, I kept myself busy with more education, training and raising my beautiful daughter, who is now 14 years old. There were several occasions when I had to move through different cities to get better jobs. I have gone through mass layoffs, joblessness, and phases of depression. There are only two things that kept me going and shaped me into the accomplished woman that I am today – Resilience and Persistence.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a Robotic Process Automation Consultant. My specialty is having a natural understanding of people, processes and tools. I think I was made for this career, and I love every bit of my job. When most of my friends tell me that they want to retire asap, I feel as if I am just getting started. I cannot wait to design my next Robot. I take extreme pride in the fact that I chose a career in which I had absolutely no background, with hard work and the willingness to learn new things, I created a successful career for myself, a career that gives me happiness and keeps me excited every day.

Being a pageant winner and a part of the Pageant system is another thing that I am extremely proud of.

What sets me apart from others is my thought process and my confidence on myself. I believe in inclusion and empowerment.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a very disciplined child, very good and focused on studies. I always had an interest in arts and literature. I have been a writer since my childhood. I still do write occasionally in English and Hindi, my mother tongue.
