Daily Inspiration: Meet Alisha Crowell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alisha Crowell.

Hi Alisha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started creating waist beads maybe six months after my then 1yo daughter MaKenzie was diagnosed with Leukemia. I began to lose my faith in “God” and found peace and comfy in spirituality. I became intrigued with the culture all together and began to find ways to protect myself and my daughter. Throughout this journey, we were embarking on to heal her and to evolve. I learned how Waist Beads is a great way to womb heal and how to carry my crystals with me without having a heavy purse. I began to learn the benefits of crystals and color healing with the seed beads and I allowed my creativity to take me places I never thought.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, the journey has been a roller coaster ride. Between me being a single mom always at the hospital in the beginning which caused me to fall behind to me hiring assistants that stole products and money. Against all odds, I maintained my faith in myself and the gifts that my ancestors gave me. I persevered and been in business almost six years on May 12th.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a custom Spiritual Waist Bead + Body Adornment artist. I create products made with intentions for your chakras healing and zodiac sign understanding. When you hear of “Waisted By Sacred” you know my Waist Beads are unmatched.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
Being able to know that I am utilizing a gift from my ancestors to help others heal, grow and evolve is the greatest feeling. Mainly because I know what it was like for me to be unsure and wondering how can I help myself.
