Daily Inspiration: Meet Anayah Zoe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anayah Zoe.

Hi Anayah, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always been drawn to creativity and storytelling—whether through visual art, writing, fashion, or digital content. As a kid, I used to direct my siblings and cousins in little commercials I’d come up with, complete with fake products and scenes. That was the beginning of me discovering the power of creative direction and storytelling, even before I had the words for it.

Today, I work in content production and influencer marketing, with a focus on amplifying meaningful campaigns—especially those led by Black and Brown-owned brands. I help creators and businesses craft stories that resonate and connect with their audiences in real ways. In addition, I model and create content of my own. This shift from behind the scenes to stepping in front of the camera has allowed me to fully embrace my presence as a muse and deepen my connection to the work I create.

How I got here has been a mix of curiosity, consistency, and community. I kept saying yes to opportunities that aligned with my purpose, even when I didn’t have it all figured out. I’ve collaborated with brands, led creative shoots, and developed content that reflects voices and stories often overlooked. I’m excited to keep growing and creating in this space that feels so authentic to me.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but I’m deeply grateful for the journey. Like many creatives, I’ve experienced seasons of doubt, burnout, and moments where I questioned my path. There were times I wasn’t sure if there was space for someone with my perspective or style in this industry.

One of my biggest shifts was realizing that I didn’t just have to be the one behind the scenes—I could also be the muse. For a long time, I was most comfortable building for others, but stepping into my own light as a model and creator taught me how important it is to take up space, to be visible, and to trust my voice. It’s been both empowering and healing.

I’ve also had to navigate being multi-passionate—balancing a 9-5, freelance work, and my own creative pursuits. But through all of it, I’ve learned the value of alignment. When I pour into projects that feel purposeful and reflect who I am, everything flows better. It’s been a journey of trusting myself, showing up even when things are uncertain, and choosing growth every step of the way.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
What I’m most proud of is my ability to execute my imagination. I don’t just come up with ideas—I know how to bring them to life in a way that feels cohesive, meaningful, and visually powerful. I love taking something that starts as a feeling or aesthetic in my head and turning it into something people can connect with. I’m also deeply inspired by collaboration—I love working with teams of people who are just as creative and who appreciate the beauty of the process as much as the final result. There’s something special about building with others who value intention and creativity at every stage.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I was shy, quiet, and definitely not seen as the creative one. I was known as the smart, academic type—always the one who got good grades. My parents expected me to follow a more traditional path, like working in the medical field or joining the military, which ran deep in our family for generations. But if you were to ask my siblings and cousins, none of them would be surprised by the creative path I’m on now.

I’ve always longed to be in a creative space, even though I didn’t have the words for it at the time. I was the one with a camera in hand, constantly forcing everyone to participate in impromptu photoshoots. I’d play dress-up and have my sister act as my photographer (which, by the way, she still does for me today!). Looking back, I can see that these creative impulses were always part of me—I just had to grow into this version of myself, the one fully aligned with my authentic creativity.
