Hi Angela, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Angela Gregory, the founder & creative mind behind Naked Seat, is a proud alumna of the University of Georgia. She earned her BFA in Textile Design, which laid the foundation for her deep-rooted passion for textiles and furniture. Angela’s goal is to bring a unique blend of artistry and craftsmanship to Atlanta’s vibrant design scene. In 2015, Angela turned her vision into reality by establishing Naked Seat, a premier upholstery, custom furniture, and textile studio.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The road that seems more difficult is usually the one worth taking! There are always new obstacles when working for yourself, good & bad! It’s all in how you handle each situation that reflects on you & your business.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Naked Seat has become synonymous with quality and innovation, catering to both interior designers and the general public. We believe that every piece of furniture has a story to tell, and through unwavering attention to detail, we bring those stories to life. Hard work and commitment to excellence have earned Naked Seat collaborations with some of the most talented designers in the Southeast. Whether it’s a custom upholstery project or creating custom furniture pieces, we ensure that each creation reflects our client’s unique style and vision.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Relationships are very important!!
