Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a marketing professional based in New York. For the past 15 years, I have helped international clients increase their brand recognition, sales, and profitability in the global market. In 2017, I joined Deneeze Agency with a vision for providing creative marketing strategies tailored to individual client needs. My work at Deneeze has increased profitability by 120% on average for many brands we worked with, like Carters, Amazon ADC, Atom, FTI, Buyk, Brev Mobility, NY Global Group, UGN Logistics, and more.
Before joining Deneeze, I was an executive brand manager for Global Spirits, where I established a centralized system for brand messaging and content creation, boosting profits across more than 20 brands in 86 countries. I also served as a Press Officer for the Ukrainian Presidential Administration and Ukrainian State Administration. In these roles, I organized over 100 media opportunities with global news outlets during major events like the World Economic Forum and the UN General Assembly.
Outside of work, I’m passionate about volunteering and seek every opportunity to offer my expertise to non-profits, particularly in service of organizations in my home country, Ukraine. I actively volunteer for HBS Community Partners and the Acceleration Project, and I am a member of Run for Life, an organization that helps people with disabilities.
Last but not least, I love New York and revel in exploring all the amazing things—like art museums, the opera and theater—the city offers.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My journey in the professional world has certainly been far from a smooth road, with several significant challenges along the way. One of the most impactful challenges I’ve faced is the war in Ukraine. This conflict has deeply affected not just my personal life but also my professional endeavors. It’s a harsh reality that has left a lasting mark on me and my work.
New York, often referred to as “The City That Never Sleeps,” is a place of immense opportunities, but it’s also a place that demands an incredible amount of hard work and determination to seize those opportunities. As the saying goes, “New York is not for losers,” and it’s a statement that constantly reminds me to stay resilient and persevere.
The war in Ukraine, however, added a layer of complexity to my journey. Despite the geographical and emotional distance, I’ve strived to find positives amidst the adversity. One of the most significant positives has been my ability to employ even more Ukrainians than before. My wonderful team now includes creative designers from Zaporozia, skilled videographers from Kherson, and an expert IT team based in Kyiv. These individuals are immensely talented, and they are not only assets to my business but also a source of inspiration.
In addition, I’ve been fortunate to collaborate with Veteranious, an organization in Ukraine that provides training and employment opportunities for war veterans. Working with them has been incredibly fulfilling, knowing that we are making a tangible difference in the lives of those who have sacrificed so much for their country.
Despite the emotional toll of working through such challenging times, my team and I are more motivated than ever to succeed and give back to our community. The hardships we’ve encountered have only strengthened our resolve to grow and support the talented individuals of Ukraine. We exist not only to succeed in our professional endeavors but also to create a positive impact, both through our work and our charitable contributions. The obstacles I’ve faced have molded me into a more resilient and compassionate individual, and they have given me a greater sense of purpose in my career.

I’m known for my unwavering commitment to innovation and my keen attention to detail, which has become a hallmark of my professional journey. I specialize in PR and marketing, where I’ve dedicated myself to pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo, and consistently seeking ways to improve and innovate.
One of the things I’m most proud of in my career is my ability to bridge the gap between tradition and innovation. I’ve honed my skills in digital marketing and have leveraged this foundation to explore new horizons. This ability to blend the tried-and-true with cutting-edge solutions has allowed me to create unique and effective strategies in my work.
What truly sets me apart from others is my boldness in decision-making. I don’t shy away from taking calculated risks, and this approach has led to some of the most transformative moments in my career. I’m not content with the status quo; I constantly seek opportunities to challenge the norms and find innovative solutions that drive success. I believe that true innovation requires stepping out of one’s comfort zone and being unafraid to question the conventional wisdom.
In essence, I am someone who not only understands the intricacies of my field but is also unafraid to disrupt the existing paradigms to achieve outstanding results. I’m known for my meticulous attention to detail, and my unwavering commitment to driving innovation, and I take great pride in my ability to turn creative ideas into practical and impactful solutions.
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
I firmly believe that luck often favors those who work hard and are prepared to seize opportunities when they arise.
Good luck has presented itself in various forms throughout my journey. There have been instances where being in the right place at the right time opened doors I never expected. These serendipitous moments have allowed me to make connections, discover new opportunities, and achieve significant milestones in my career. However, I also understand that these fortunate occurrences are often the result of careful planning and relentless effort.
Conversely, I’ve encountered bad luck and faced challenges that seemed insurmountable. These setbacks have tested my resilience and determination. In such situations, my strong work ethic and preparedness have been my lifelines. I believe that even in the face of adversity, one can find opportunities for growth and learning. It’s during these times that the importance of hard work and perseverance becomes most evident.
