Daily Inspiration: Meet Annie Jones

Today we’d like to introduce you to Annie Jones.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my journey in photography almost by accident. What began as simply documenting moments for friends and my community quickly grew into something much bigger as people began asking me to capture their weddings, families, and milestones. I realized that photography wasn’t just about taking pictures. It was about preserving stories and moments that people would hold onto for the rest of their lives.

Over time, that passion turned into Annie T. Photography, where I’ve had the privilege of capturing weddings, families, and events across Georgia and beyond. My approach has always been centered on serving people well, staying calm in the chaos of big moments, and creating images that feel timeless.

Alongside photography, I’ve also built a career in marketing and storytelling, which has shaped how I approach my work by helping people and organizations share their stories in a meaningful way. Today, I balance running my photography business with my work in marketing and communications, all rooted in the same goal of telling stories that matter and preserving moments people never want to forget.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Owning a business means constantly navigating challenges, learning lessons, and figuring things out as you go.

Just last week, for example, I had to have a tough conversation with a client about some technical issues that affected their images. Those moments are never easy, but they’re part of the responsibility that comes with running a business and serving people well. Situations like that remind me how important communication, integrity, and accountability are in this work.

Nothing about owning a business is easy, but you learn to take those lessons on the chin, grow from them, and keep moving forward. Every challenge helps you become a better business owner and better at serving the people who trust you with important moments in their lives

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work centers around photography and storytelling. I’m the owner of Annie T. Photography, where I specialize primarily in weddings, portraits, and milestone moments. Much of my work focuses on documenting people during some of the most meaningful seasons of their lives, whether that’s a wedding day, a growing family, or an important event. I’m also heavily involved in marketing and communications, where I help organizations tell their stories through photography, video, and strategic content.

One thing I’m known for is being calm in the chaos of big moments. Weddings and events move quickly, and people often look to their photographer for direction and reassurance. I take a lot of pride in creating an environment where people feel comfortable, taken care of, and confident that their memories are being captured well.

What sets my work apart is that I approach photography with both a creative and strategic mindset. Because of my background in marketing and storytelling, I’m not just thinking about the image itself but about the story it tells and how it will be remembered years from now. I focus on creating images that feel timeless and genuine rather than overly posed or trendy.

What I’m most proud of is the trust people place in me. Clients invite me into incredibly important moments in their lives, and it means a lot that they believe I will care for those memories well. Building relationships with clients and being invited back year after year to document their families and milestones is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Absolutely. No business is built alone, and I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have strong support along the way.

My family has played a huge role in my journey. My dad is an entrepreneur, so I grew up watching someone build and run a business. That gave me a front-row seat to the realities of entrepreneurship and helped shape the way I think about work, problem solving, and perseverance.

Today, my husband is one of my biggest supporters and cheerleaders. We’re both entrepreneurial, so we’re constantly bouncing ideas off each other, talking through challenges, and encouraging one another to keep growing. Having someone who understands the ups and downs of building something from the ground up makes a huge difference.

I’m also incredibly grateful for the clients who have trusted me over the years. Many of them have referred friends, come back for multiple seasons of life, and supported the growth of my business in ways they may not even realize. Their trust and encouragement have played a big role in helping Annie T. Photography grow into what it is today.
