Arman Kouchak

Hi Arman, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
From a young age, I’ve been driven by adventure and a profound sense of purpose. The world held endless opportunities, cultures to explore, and life to embrace. This innate curiosity led me to make a life-altering decision in 2004: I packed my bags and set my sights on America. New York City, they say, is where dreams are put to the test, and I took that saying to heart.

I arrived in the Big Apple and found myself working for a renowned watch company as a photographer. While I had dabbled in photography as a hobby, this was a whole new level. The expectations were high, and the pressure was daunting, especially for someone coming from a different world. But I was determined, and I didn’t want to merely survive; I wanted to thrive.

Skipping over the intricate details, I can proudly say I succeeded. I dedicated four years to the company, honing my craft and absorbing invaluable lessons in marketing along the way.

Then, in 2008, I set off on a new adventure, this time to Atlanta. I had a network of friends there who had long urged me to make the move, and after a brief visit, I knew it was where I belonged. Atlanta exuded peace, offered countless opportunities, and was more affordable than New York. It just made sense.

Despite arriving during the recession, I was determined to chart my own path. Photography remained my passion, and after a brief stint as a hairstylist, while I contemplated my next move, I realized where my heart truly lay. I returned to photography.

Skipping over the details once more, the last 14 years have seen me build not one but two successful businesses. One specializes in commercial photography and video production, collaborating with companies to showcase their products. The other focuses on providing photography and video content to businesses and individuals, helping them thrive and grow.

Today, our studio stands as one of the most advanced in the Atlanta area, a testament to the journey I embarked upon back in 2004. I’ve condensed my story as much as possible, mindful of your time, but I believe every twist and turn has contributed to my journey’s success.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not! Many challenges, some I can think of, Emigrating to the US, adapting to a new language and culture, navigating the hurdles of the 2008 recession, pivoting careers, and building from the ground up…

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

As a child, I was filled with curiosity and a strong desire for adventure. I had a determined and focused personality, always pursuing my goals with dedication. My early passion for photography eventually became my career. Growing up, I developed a love for exploration, a commitment to achieving my dreams, and a lifelong thirst for learning. These experiences have had a profound impact on the person I’ve become today.
