Daily Inspiration: Meet Ayad Latimore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ayad Latimore.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started creating content in 2022, focusing on motivational videos and public interviews. One of my videos went viral on TikTok, and within my first seven months of taking it seriously, I gained 10K followers. While I enjoyed creating content, I got too comfortable, which led to inconsistency and laziness.

At the start of this year, when TikTok was banned, I made a promise to myself that if it came back, I would take content creation seriously—no excuses. When it did, I stayed true to my word, and within just over a month, I started earning from the creator fund, making $1,000 in my first month. Since then, I’ve been focused on developing new concepts and refining my message to create meaningful content.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. After gaining traction early on, I got comfortable and stopped posting consistently, which caused me to lose momentum. I ended up stepping away from social media for two years, not posting with any real intent.

At one point, I felt like I had “fallen off” and didn’t see the need to keep creating. I also didn’t set bigger goals—once I hit 10K followers, I had nothing pushing me forward. When I wanted to evolve my content, I struggled to find reliable cameramen, and I let negative thoughts affect my creativity. On top of that, I didn’t fully embrace my gift for interviewing, and overthinking held me back. All of these factors led to me stepping away, but ultimately, they also taught me valuable lessons about consistency, mindset, and pushing past self-doubt.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Currently, I work as a tax preparer, but content creation is where I feel the most freedom and fulfillment. I consider myself a jack-of-all-trades—I’ve been known for boxing, music, and content creation, depending on who you ask.

What I’m most proud of is my commitment to consistency. I’ve learned that challenges will come regardless, so I’d rather be pushing toward something I enjoy. I take pride in inspiring people, bringing clarity to difficult topics, and being a voice for those who feel unheard.

What sets me apart is my authenticity—I don’t just live online. The energy I bring to my content is the same energy I carry in real life. Another thing that makes me different is having my father present in my life growing up, which I consider one of my biggest blessings and something that has shaped me in ways many can’t relate to.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
It’s hard to pick just one favorite childhood memory because so many moments stand out. One of my favorites is waking up at my great-grandmother’s house in the country after sleeping foot-to-head with my cousins. The house would be packed with 15-20 of us, and the kitchen would be filled with our aunties and grandparents making pancakes. We’d all sit around playfully arguing over the syrup, just enjoying being together.

Another memory that sticks with me is waking up at my cousin’s house to the smell of incense burning, eating toaster strudels and cheese grits, then heading outside to jump on the trampoline and walk the neighborhood. There were also the wild moments—like getting chased by dogs and jumping on the nearest cars for safety.

Family cookouts were always special, too. Coming from a big family, there were always plenty of kids my age, and we’d stay outside until nightfall, catching fireflies in jars. Even something as simple as sitting on my grandma’s front porch, just talking and being around family, is a memory I cherish. Looking back, the best moments were always the ones spent with family.
