Daily Inspiration: Meet Beth Ferguson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Beth Ferguson.

Hi Beth, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I am a short, sassy midlife influencer. For over ten years, I helped women build their wardrobes through a direct sales company. My clients included a wide variety of women, from stay at home mothers who loved beautiful clothing and had the budget to indulge in it, to entrepreneurs and executives from some of Atlanta’s largest companies. I love working with women from very diverse backgrounds. When we would meet to shop together in my home trunk shows a few times a year, we would talk about all sorts of things that were a part of our lives. My blog Sassy for Short (SASforShort) grew out of that.

Today on my blog I share tidbits about things that I love. It could be about fashion, healthy lifestyle, working out, my favorite new recipe, etc.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
As always, when you start out on a new path there is a learning curve. When I decided to have a blog and become a part of the social media world, I had no idea how many layers there were to the business. I stopped and started a few times.

Recently, I decided that if I was going to move forward and have an impact that I needed a coach. The accountability, guidance, and, knowledge that it provides me is the best decision I have ever made.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a midlife influencer who writes about petite-friendly fashion, childfree living, and healthy lifestyle. In the near future, I will be sharing content about building our downsized dream home. I will be sharing the ins and outs of building a custom home. My husband, Mark, has been in the homebuilding industry for years.

Children were not in the plan for us so we have embraced a childfree lifestyle and I share the good and the different about that lifestyle. It is something that is much more talked now about than when we were making the decision. I wish that there had been more resources years ago and I aim to be the voice for that.

I live to stay very active. You can find me sharing snippets about my workouts, things that work for my midlife body to keep it in the shape that I like, and foods that I like to cook and eat. I eat a gluten and dairy-free diet (I do have a cheat bite every once in a while).

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?
As a blogger and influencer, just know that there are many layers to this. There is always something new to learn because something is always changing. You can’t compare yourself to others. Especially those who have been in the business a long time. You also don’t know how many people they have working with them in the background to product all of the content that they produce.
