Daily Inspiration: Meet Boozer McClure

Today we’d like to introduce you to Boozer McClure.

Boozer McClure

Hi Boozer, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have been in the custom clothing business since 1989. Opened Square Threads in March of 2015 after thinking men’s clothing was a missing element on the Marietta Square.

Every year has been a growth year since opening. We are thrilled to be here and provide better men’s wear for the Marietta community.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I have to say all has been fantastic as we have grown our business for the last 9 years. We have been selected Best of Cobb for the last 5 years. A nice tribute to our success.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
After receiving a Bachelor of Music Degree followed by a Master of Music degree I taught music in the public school system for about 7 years. Decided to make a change to commercial real Estate in 1988.

Not being my thing I had a friend who recruited me to sell custom clothing to men in their office or home in 1989. Following 26 years in that world I decided to open the shop on Marietta Square. Custom clothing continues to be over half of our business.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you, or support you?
Beginning Spring of 2024 we (my wife Julianne and I) will be introducing women’s wear to the Square Threads collections. This will be different from the other women’s shops on the Square. It will be along the same price points as the men’s wear. So “better” women’s clothing.

Pricing:

  • Better Men’s Wear Pricing for sportswear
  • Custom Sport Coats start at $895
  • Custom Suits start at $1095
  • Custom Shirts are $195
