Today we’d like to introduce you to Brianna Williams.
Hi Brianna, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Dr. Brianna Chante Williams, was born and raised in New York City, among 11 siblings, a tight-knit community, and friends who felt like family. While surrounded by love, she couldn’t ignore the harsh realities of neighborhood violence, limited resources, and opportunities that felt far and few in between for people like her. These realities sparked a desire to dream bigger and push for a life beyond the Bronx. While growing up in unfavorable conditions, writing and storytelling became her escape. Brianna would imerse herself in books about characters who thrived despite their circumstances, and those books gave her the creative energy and motivation to write her own story; one she could be proud of.
A pivotal moment in her life came during her senior year of college when she won the prestigious Bill Gates Scholarship, which is a full 10-year ride to any college in the U.S. She was the first person in her school’s history to receive it. She felt like she had won the lottery! With the momentum of that win, Brianna packed a suitcase and headed to Atlanta, where she was accepted into Spelman College. As she boarded the plane, she knew her life was about to change forever.
Growing up in the Bronx, she saw firsthand how sexual violence impacted many children and young adults. She knew she wanted to use her education to be an advocate and a voice for those who suffered in silence. After graduating with her Bachelor’s in psychology, Brianna pursued a Masters of Art degree in educational psychology at Georgia State University, where she delved into the effects of sexual violence and the ways survivors cope with the trauma. While working full time at a property preservation firm in Atlanta, she continued to pursue her education, earning a Doctor of Public Health degree. Her research focused on sexual assault response and prevention on college campuses, particularly in Georgia.
After earning her doctorate degree during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Brianna began her career at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), where she worked as a contractor conducting research in the National Center for HIV, Viral Hepatitis, STD, and Tuberculosis Prevention. She then continued her career at the CDC working as a health scientist and project officer, where she managed millions of dollars in federal funding allocated to state health departments, domestic violence coalitions, and sexual assault coalitions to implement programs that aimed to reduce domestic violence and sexual assault nationwide.
When the political climate took a turn under the Trump administration, many public health officials, including scientists, were unjustly fired. Although she dedicated her early career to serving and protecting Americans, amid this uncertainty in the workforce, she decided to pursue a long-held dream of working in real estate, a field I’d been drawn to for years but never had the time to explore due to my intense focus on public health. With a background in mortgage services and real estate-owned field services, she dove into learning everything she could about the industry, partnering with mentors and colleagues along the way. She launched her real estate business, eager to help others achieve their property goals. She bring heart, passion, and purpose to every client interaction, along with a wealth of experience in public health, community leadership, and project management. With a focus on integrity, professionalism, and a personal touch, she is committed to helping clients realize their real estate dreams, from first homes to investments.
Having spent over a decade in Atlanta, Brianna built her career on creating meaningful connections, managing large-scale projects, serving communities, and prioritizing the needs of others. Her background in research and project management, combined with her deep understanding of public health, allows her to protect my clients’ interests by offering them honest, timely advice.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The road to real estate has been a journey of resiliency, adaptability, community, and self-reflection. Growing up with limited resources, I learned early how to adapt and push through challenges. While winning a scholarship was life-changing, it also came with the pressure of being a first-generation student navigating new spaces with limited knowledge and resources. Later in life, I continued to learn how to balance the responsibility of full-time work while earning advanced degrees, entering into motherhood, and then facing job uncertainty in public health sector during shifting political climates. Every challenge sharpened my perspective and prepared me for the work I do today, one rooted in service, advocacy, and integrity. Throughout any of these challenges, I always learned to keep a people centered mindset and relay on my human resources and community ties. I learned the value of team work, sharing knowledge, and leaning on those you love to get through. Although I faced challenges, I never felt alone or defeated.
In real estate, I specialize in guiding clients through one of the most important investments of their lives. My approach blends data-driven insight with genuine connection, a balance I developed through years of research, project management, and public health advocacy. I’m known for putting my clients first, ensuring transparency, fairness, education, and empowerment throughout the process. What sets me apart is that I see real estate as more than a transaction; I see it as a pathway to stability, opportunity, and generational wealth. The proudest part of my journey is that I’ve carried my lifelong commitment to service into this new chapter, helping individuals and families not just close on homes, but open doors to brighter futures.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have my own LLC where I contract my business as a REALTOR to Coldwell Banker Realty In Buckhead, Georgia, where I hold my real estate license.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5–10 years, I see the real estate industry becoming even more tech-driven, client-focused, and dynamic. Technology will continue to reshape how we buy, sell, and invest in real estate, not just in Atlanta but around the world. For example, virtual tours, AI-driven market insights, and digital closings are just the beginning. At the same time, I think we’ll see buyers and sellers demanding more transparency, education, and guidance from agents, which means the role of a trusted advisor and those community ties will matter more than ever.
Another big shift will be how people think about where and how they live. Remote work has already expanded the way people choose communities, and that trend isn’t slowing down any time soon. Sustainability and wellness-focused housing are also becoming priorities, especially with younger generations entering the market. I believe the agents and brokerages that thrive will be the ones who embrace innovation, build authentic relationships, and stay adaptable in a changing economy. This is why I make sure I build genuine and long lasting connections with all of my clients, providing guidance and education along the way.
