Hi Cadie, I am so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
In March of 2023, I began my journey at a modeling school as an admissions representative after receiving the job due to sheer luck. As I interacted with aspiring models, my passion for the industry grew, prompting me to step in front of the camera myself.
Balancing my job and newfound passion, I took on small gigs and honed my skills. Months passed, and with relentless dedication, I embarked on a self-marketing journey. From photo shoots to social media campaigns, I built my brand. Surprisingly, I garnered attention and invitations to local events.
One breakthrough led to another, and soon, I found myself standing backstage at New York Fashion Week – a dream realized without the backing of a traditional agency. The journey from admissions representative to the runway was an exhilarating testament to the power of passion and perseverance.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In the bustling world of modeling, I found myself navigating through challenges that seemed insurmountable. Juggling the demands of long photo shoot hours while holding a full-time job tested my resilience. Battling stereotypes in the industry added an extra layer of complexity, but I was determined to redefine beauty standards.
Simultaneously, as I pursued my dream on the runway, I was enrolled in EMS school, eager to carve a niche in the medical field. The demanding schedule and contrasting worlds of fashion and emergency services made the journey arduous. Late-night study sessions and early morning castings became my routine.
The path was far from smooth; doubts crept in, fatigue lingered, and setbacks were numerous. Yet, each obstacle fueled my determination to prove that success is born from relentless perseverance. Through self-reliance and unwavering dedication, I emerged stronger, breaking through the barriers that sought to define me.
My story isn’t just about conquering the catwalk; it’s a testament to overcoming stereotypes, defying odds, and proving that strength arises from the trials overcome.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As a model, I am very universal regarding different types of modeling.
Therefore, I do not specialize in a specific branch. With each runway stride, I embraced breaking standards and challenging norms, which set me apart from other models. My uniqueness became my signature, and I took pride in proving that dreams are not just imagined but accomplished.
Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the COVID-19 crisis?
Our close-knit community faced unprecedented challenges in the early days of the pandemic.
Social distancing took a toll on our connections, and fear lingered. However, adversity brought out the best in us. We emerged stronger, more compassionate, and united through virtual support networks and innovative solutions. The shared experience of overcoming COVID-19 catalyzed a resilient community that thrived on mutual support and a renewed sense of togetherness.
