Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The Road of the artist is one ‘less travelled’ because of it’s work instability/unpredictability & unreliability It’s imperative that artists have unwavering confidence and patience…..but also build a supportive professional and personal network of likeminded souls.
The road hasn’t been always smooth, but my confidence is undeterred. I’ve learned to maintain an even keel. No super highs or lows.
The toughest struggle has been financial consistency.
I am a ‘man of faith’ and as such, have total faith in God’s provision, which in spite of the challenges, has never failed.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a professional actor. I see myself as a Producer who also acts. My specialty is that of a connector. My superpower is that I connect people. My network is diverse and large and I empathically discern who would likely work well together in an artistic or business environment.
I am proud of a couple things.
1.). My 12 episode independently Produced TV Series now called “Black Famous” (formerly titled “Two Degrees”). I shot this series with several of my ‘tribe’. It’s fresh, funny, quirky and entertaining.
2.). I am an acting coach/teacher in Atlanta. I have a growing in-person class On Wednesday and a virtual class on Tuesday nights.
What does success mean to you?
I define success by the impact I have on others
