Today we’d like to introduce you to Carla Lomack.
Hi Carla, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always been a serial entrepreneur. While in college, I had a cleaning service to work on dorm rooms and student apartments! It all started with reading books about wealth, attending a few multi-level marketing events, and then going to a real estate event. That’s when I first got serious with Lomack Homes with my husband and we purchased two homes to generate rental income. Today, I am focused more on a client-based business model that consults with other start-ups and preparing for another phase of store-front retail. Our goal is to extend the services with a full-service business support store in Florida and Georgia.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Well, I always tell my clients that the challenge of being an entrepreneur is growing yourself and the business at the same time. So, it goes the same for me. I have grown tremendously in my attitude to approach building a successful business slowly, with a system of solutions that deliver results and maintain a high level of personal integrity. Some of the most challenging situations have come from ensuring that I remain true to my character and remaining humble. We all can get tripped up with power, money, and influence. The other challenges of doing the work can be learned and taught, but the tricky relationships and character of being successful are not easy. You hear, “it’s not personal, it’s just business” a lot over time, but it really is relationships and relating with others that challenge you to lose or fail in building your business.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a business consultant, I help create solutions that increase revenue, improve systems, and share my expert knowledge of operating an organization. In my professional experience of over 25 years, I have had the honor of volunteering with amazing non-profits, becoming part of the executive staff, and organizing events. Also during that time, I worked with large and small corporations to be an assistant, manager, and director in legal, accounting, and human resource departments. I am most proud of my agility to rapidly change in every environment – having the ability to accomplish work and learn more in each role. I think this journey has given me a position of value in the market to work with business owners today.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
As a small business owner, I appreciate all of the support I can get. Start with the free stuff – it costs nothing to like, share, and post something on social media so I would encourage everyone to do that now! On my website, there is more information to connect with the Class Management Group. We are looking for business development and marketing support. We love collaborating and teaming with other businesses, so schedule time to connect with me.
