Today we’d like to introduce you to Charlie Cu.
Hi Charlie, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
In early childhood, I was fascinated with drawing and painting and dream of pursuing a career as an artist when I got older. I started on my tattoo journey in August 2006. it was not easy but through perseverance, I have become the tattoo artist I envision myself to be.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Early in my career, it was not an easy journey. I struggle with getting the client that allows me to be creative, also tattoo back then was not as popular as it is today. So finding quality clients that have an understanding for art and allowing artists to be art was a challenge.

I specialize in illustrations tattoos inspired by Japanese subjects.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
I see it becoming filled with talented artists that focus on specialty.
