Today we’d like to introduce you to Cherish Martin
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
When I was pregnant, I had these crazy cravings for sweets that you couldn’t really find in stores. I remember being pregnant driving around ATL trying to find candy apples. So I learned how to make them myself. My cravings eventually drew me to chocolate covered strawberries. I started making them for my friends and family too. They convinced me to go into business.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I am just starting out as of January 2021 so it’s been pretty smooth so far. I’m praying it stays that way.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
Sweet Mistreats is anything you would like dipped in chocolate, I can do it. I also make candy apples, funnel cakes, and cake pops. I specialize in chocolate covered strawberries. I’m most known for my creativity with my chocolate covered strawberries. I like to execute my client’s vision. I am most proud of my growth. Stepping out of fear and starting my business has been the scariest yet satisfying feeling ever. I believe me being a perfectionist sets me apart from others. I am pretty precise person and I’m not the type to put out half work.
Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
Wow. I have so many childhood memories, it’s impossible to pick a favorite. One that warms my heart is when I was little girl, my dad had this truck and he would let me and my siblings ride on the back. It was pure bliss.
