Today we’d like to introduce you to Cherrelle Roper.
Hi Cherrelle, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
After separating from the Army, I always had a vision to operate my own business but didn’t know where to start. I began hosting paint parties at the customer’s location or in their home. During Covid, that changed! I was unable to go to customers’ homes and I began mailing out paint kits to the customer. When a relief in Covid took place, I was able to open my own event hall in Lawrenceville. The event hall allows me to host paint parties and also allow other customers to rent out the space for their own events and celebrations.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s never easy for a business owner. The success stories are always the easiest to tell; however, there are challenges we all go through at some. From my own experience, Covid affected my face-to-face interactions with my customers and set the business back during that time frame.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Being the Owner of Luxor Kreations Event Hall is what I am proud of the most. Living through something that was just a thought at one point is my accomplishment for myself.
