Daily Inspiration: Meet Chloe King

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chloe King.

Hi Chloe, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I am a 23-year-old upcoming influencer. I have been on this journey for a while now and I started things off by being inspired by our great city of Atlanta, GA. My mother was a single mother and moved us to Atlanta when I turned 12 years old. My mom worked very hard to get us to the lifestyle that we achieved. I watched her strive to make sure that when we moved to Atlanta, that I got the best experience possible.

I come from a small town called Muscle Shoals, AL. So, that being said I consider myself a half-country gal and a half-city gal lol. I came to Atlanta full force and in my full unique self form. I graduated from McEachern High School, and soon after I applied to The University of Alabama. I am now a senior at the capstone, and I graduate this December 2023.

As I was going through my college journey, I suffered the hardship of losing my best friend, my mom. My mother had a rare lung disease that she was born with called Pulmonary Alveolar Proteinosis (PAP). During my first years in college, my mother’s condition began to worsen and she was placed on oxygen. This was so difficult for me and my family to endure.

I am an only child, and I faced having to deal with a lot of responsibility at this age. I had the support of my grandparents and aunt, but it still weighed heavily on my soul.

I battled trying to balance dealing with grief, an abusive relationship, and still being in school. This was one of the darkest years of my life. Depression is so real, and I do not think people put enough spotlight on mental health in the black community. Especially those of younger ages, and how difficult it is to push through day to day while battling your own mind.

However, there is a will and a way. I began to go to counseling, I broke up with my abuser, and I persevered. I now am in the process of working for a very successful corporation at the age of 23. I plan on opening up my business in the next year, which I am currently working on a business plan for.

I am finally happy and currently healing others with my story and lessons. I just feel that I have been gifted with the opportunity to bless others and inspire them. Life is so hard, and we do not ever know what battles God will give us. Yet, when we make it through the fire we reach the other side which is always sunshine. I am not perfect, and I am still growing every day. Yet, I know that after all that I have been through, I will always reach greatness because I know that I can.

I want to share my story to let someone out there dealing with mental health issues that it TRULY will be okay.

You can’t give up. You won’t give up. You are worthy. You are capable. You are smart. You are rich in health. You will succeed.

The only person that can push you, is YOU. KEEP GOING.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
This has absolutely not been a smooth road for me. Is it truly ever a smooth road for anyone? Life is genuinely hard at times. However, I believe that every struggle represents a lesson and is meant for you to grow. It took a very long time for me to accept that and learn. Yet, I know now and constantly remind myself that this is not a race.

I feel that I struggle with my inner critic a lot, I always feel that I should be doing more. When in reality, I am doing the best with what I have right now. For example, I have always wanted to start a business but I never knew where to start or had enough money. Now, I am taking classes and finding business mentors. I do not want to rush perfection. Things happen when they need to. My business will launch when it is time.

Life is not a race, there will always be obstacles and struggles along the way.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialize in Operational Management and logistics. I am currently about to get my degree in this field, however, I am a content creator/model on the side lol.

I do not believe in having a niche because I truly want to do it all. The Jill of All Trades honey!

I love taking pictures. So? I model from time to time.

I love cooking. So? I post cooking content.

I love dancing. So? I post dance videos from time to time.

I am a growing LIFESTYLE content creator. After graduating, I will have more time to develop my upcoming Youtube content and etc.

For now, you can catch me chopping it up on TikTok lol @amourcloo.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The trends and changes will be inevitable. This world is so crazy, lol. I will always adjust to things as I see fit. I also believe that with the current trends, I will be able to fully shape my content to my proper audience.

I am inspired by influencers such as Jayda Cheaves, Talitha Jane, Love Reesie, Aaliyahs Face, etc. (Just to name a few)

I think the goal for being relevant in the industry is authenticity! I will be myself and change things when I feel that it is necessary.

Time will tell.
