Today we’d like to introduce you to Coby Ficklin.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I’m a Creative Director and photographer for Atlanta, New York, and California. My story is not a fairy tale. But it is crazy how things come back full circle. I have always wanted to travel my whole life and get paid for it but I never knew how that was going to happen. One day I was playing soccer for my club team and while playing I broke my ankle and was unable to walk for 4 months. So, I started contemplating on what I wanted to do with my life. So, just out of curiosity, I took a risk and bought a camera and I have not put it down ever since. I love photography and I love traveling and I get a chance to do both now.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No, if has not been a smooth road but if you don’t face adversity in your life pursuing what you want and having the courage and faith to keep going then it was not meant to be. Nothing if life is really ever easy but you keep going.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I specialize in sports photography and I am known for being a creative director for different sets. I am most proud of my work because through it I get to inspire people, which is all I really want to do. I think what sets me apart from others are my desire to learn, wanting to help people, and always giving 110% no matter what I do.
