Today we’d like to introduce you to Cory R
Hi Cory, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Well my story starts back in 2018 when I first moved to Nashville TN, and at that time I didn’t really know where I was heading. It was my first time moving to a place that felt very familiar and unfamiliar at the same time. Even with that feeling I knew it would be a hell of a ride.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Well no road is easy and that’s what I’m expressing on this album. “Inspirations” (first album) was expressing the unfamiliarity I was feeling leaving The North and moving to Nashville and “GOODTIME” (next album) is expressing the dark parts of myself that is familiar to the world I come from. It’s me splitting myself in 2 but let me not spoil anything but this will be a psychotic chapters.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Well recently I’ve been more on the directing side of things as far as my production, cinematography and even the brand. Recently we’ve been trying to move things a little slow just so we can bring an amazing album or show to life. So my goals for this year is to start touring so that’s the focus on the work this year and I’m very proud of the people who’ve helped me reach higher limits and I can’t wait to give back to those people. So with Riverside we’ll be setting a new path and with that I wanna inspire others to follow their hearts, that’s what I hope sets me apart from others.
How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
Well my close friend Trinity was the first model to support my brand and with her help we’ve taking things to another level. She supported me from day one with believing in the vision and ever since then she’s been my biggest supporter in this industry. I wouldn’t change a thing. Music side of things my producers brings the “Riverside” sound to life and showing me different ways to take risk. Special thanks to Red, Tellingbeats and COBRA for bringing this new sound to fresh ears.
