Daily Inspiration: Meet Dania Pascal

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dania Pascal.

Hi Dania, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I could say my dream of becoming a model all started at knee high years; from watching American next model and mimicking their walks and poses to random people on the street approaching me asking me do I model during my adolescence years. It started to become more clear to me that this what I wanted to branch into but little did I know the trials and tribulations that involved of becoming a model; family that were helping me achieve my dreams got scammed multiple times, applying and never received a response back, etc., which made me quit pursuing modeling at one point in life but my vision of becoming a model never stopped; So when I graduated from college, I finally decided to take my time and go in full force into this industry learning as much as I can, practicing, watching videos, joined a membership with liked minded women who is also pursuing modeling, honey you name it I was doing it til I eventually I brought the equipment and started doing my own shoots in my room which is when I labeled myself as model even though I wasn’t officially signed but that’s how I was addressing my higher self because I knew I would be. I want to say around the end of the year is where I started to get noticed since I would post my pictures on different platforms and a lot of photographers would reach out to me wanting to work with me but for a fee which at the time I didn’t have the money so it was a waste of me taking that risk because I was still fairly new, until one day a photographer name Pablo took a chance with me and LITERALLY built my portfolio and I’m forever grateful because it opened so many doors for that in December I became signed MODEL!! For Ohavanna agency and it’s only been up from there.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t been smooth at all! Even when I started to have knowledge, I was still getting no response from agencies I was applying to, people were still trying to scam me, having doubts in myself since I didn’t necessarily meet the criteria but I just kept going.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I’m still continuing my education for my bachelor’s degree in radiology.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
That I started doing shoots in my room, because of how professional they were nobody was able to tell.
