Daily Inspiration: Meet Dante Fambro

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dante Fambro

Hi Dante, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Well, I’m from Decatur, Ga. I’m an actor or storyteller if you will. I’ve been an actor since I can remember I loved being the center of attention around people I knew. I love making people laugh but my first acting class was in the 11th grade that is where I fell in love with acting. Ever since the drama class I took in high school I’ve been on the acting train. After high school I didn’t act as much too busy trying to find myself but when I was 24 is when I got back into it. I took my first acting class with Angela Davis and been reaching for the stars ever since. From that class is when I started my acting career, learning the business and everything to become a successful actor. From there I’ve done such shows as “Fatal Attraction, For My Man” and short films. Just been focusing on the work and storytelling.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
No, it hasn’t been easy road at all. I fight the constant battle of stability vs my career still til this day. I’m still struggling to figure it out but I think I’ve gotten better a little bit. Haha. I’m still a struggling artist who still just love storytelling and entertaining people. But anything worth fighting for doesn’t come easy to anyone. It’s hard with friends as well because they don’t get the sacrifice and isolation that it takes to make it in this business.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m an actor. I love telling a story and entertaining people at the same time. I just love making an audience laugh and be entertained. I’m most proud of how far I’ve come in my career even though I’m far being done. I love the discoveries I’ve learn along the way to this point in my life and career. I just finished a meisner class at the Robert Mello Studio here in Atlanta under the great Emily Soppe and I must say after taking that class I’ve become an better actor and the techniques I learned in the class has helped me with being present in the my work and scenes. And as hard as that class was I’m so proud that I saw it through to the end.

Do you any memories from childhood that you can share with us?
I remember in high school and being in my first play and just the reviews I got and how a lot of my friends at the time would just rave about how funny I was and how hard I had them laughing. Just always a great feeling for people to see your work and entertained by it as well.
