Daily Inspiration: Meet Darian Brown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Darian Brown.

Darian Brown

Hi Darian, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I always loved art class in school and mostly finding new ways to be creative.

When I got my first camera, I planned to take beautiful nature, and scenic landscape photographs (never portraits). Only a few months after getting my camera a friend came up and I asked if I would photograph her and her boyfriend.

I said sure but warned her that I don’t photograph people and they would have to figure out posing. Well, that was all it took. After that first session, I was hooked and I’ve had a camera in my hand since. I love traveling and photographing couples all over the world!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
As a photographer in a saturated market, learning how to stand out has been the biggest challenge.

Mainly believing in myself and knowing that I have what it takes.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a very organized person. I love making sure my couples take time to soak in the day and I believe that starts with a great timeline no matter how candid you want your photographs to be.

I’m most proud of the work I’ve done in my business that a lot of my clients don’t see. The hours I spend making sure their day is perfect before and after. I’m proud of my publications in blogs and magazines.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Being able to do what I love. And that what I love has given me a life I love to live. My husband is my rock and my best friend. And so much more!
