Daily Inspiration: Meet Royal T.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Royal T. They and their team shared their story with us below:

David Tan

In 2022, Nacho Mama Nacho’s, a unique and vibrant restaurant, emerged under the visionary leadership of CEO Royal T. The establishment was born out of Royal T’s childhood memories of growing up in Chicago, where corner stores, gas stations, and candy shops scattered throughout the neighborhood served up mouthwatering nachos. These nacho’s, a beloved staple, typically featured a choice of Chip’s like Doritos, Flamin’ Hot’s, or any preferred variety, smothered in rich nacho cheese and seasoned ground beef, paired with a range of customizable toppings, including sour cream and jalapeño peppers.

Royal T’s journey took her beyond her hometown, exploring different cuisines worldwide. However, one food item always held a special place in her heart: nachos. Her passion for this savory delight led her to embark on a mission to bring the nacho experience to people everywhere, infusing it with diverse and imaginative twists.

Nacho Mama Nacho’s is renowned for its innovative nacho offering, taking this beloved snack to new heights. Among the standout creations are the tantalizing “Strawberry Cheesecake Nachos” and “S’mores Nachos,” redefining the concept of nachos and providing delightful dessert options. The menu features a diverse range of choices, including hot sellers such as the zesty “Jerk Chicken Nachos,” the hearty “Philly Cheesesteak Nachos,” and delicious “Vegan Nachos” for those with dietary preferences.

Royal T’s vision for Nacho Mama Nacho’s is clear: to spread the love for nachos globally and offer a unique and unforgettable culinary experience. Whether you’re a nacho enthusiast or a curious foodie, this restaurant is a must-visit, promising a journey back to the comforting flavors of your childhood while introducing you to exciting new nacho adventures. Nacho Mama Nacho’s is where nostalgia meets innovation, all served on a bed of cheesy, crunchy goodness.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As a new restaurant, we have had our struggles. From finding a good shared kitchen to cook into vendors and events not holding up their end on attendees and participation. We are growing and learning every day.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Nacho Mama Nacho’s is a restaurant that specializes in a variety of Nachos. We are known for our Jerk Chicken Nachos, Philly Cheesesteak Nachos, and our dessert nachos like our Strawberry Cheesecake Nachos and S’more Nachos. I am most proud of the quality of our food. It’s always freshly prepared every day. Our uniqueness and twist on nachos is what sets us apart from others.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I have definitely took some risks and some were good, and others were learning experiences. I took a risk doing festivals in Atlanta. First festival, we did not make a profit. But I analyzed what we were doing wrong and changed small things. And our next festival went a lot smoother because of that, and we also made a nice profit as well.
