Daily Inspiration: Meet Ebony Scott

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ebony Scott.

Hi Ebony, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started blogging in 2018 for another media company I really didn’t like how other media outlets including the one I worked for wasn’t really giving all celebrity tea. They were selective in or some were paid off to not post certain things, once I caught wind of some tea in noticed no blogs had posted it that’s what started the beauty of SpillinJuices I post about everything I’m not a bias content creator. I also Like to bring awareness to topics that’s not really talked about. My blog got its first credibility after I broke The story on Offset cheating on Cardi then after a lot of people who I thought wasn’t paying attention noticed my blog in started giving me my credit as a journalist. How I got to where I am today is because I research before I post any stories in check with my sources before I release any information.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth ride for me as I have battled with a lot of things in my personal life the same year I started my blog I lost my Mom I battled with homelessness a host of things plus on top of being my only employee it was hard trying to keep up with all the news that was circulating in the entertainment industry. It was even harder when I would post good content in some media outlets would steal my content in not give me my credit. It can be very frustrating. at the amount of time we have to research in post for someone to steal your content if I had the Financial backing I probably wouldn’t have to deal with these problems as much but right now I don’t have a team it’s just me so I continue to face some of these issues.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
My most proudest moment was seeing Major Media outlets like B.E.T the source magazine etc Give me credit for my Content. it made me go harder even through my struggles that I face in my personal life, it makes me happy when others see my hard work it’s let me know to keep going. What sets me apart is I’m understanding, I gather all facts first before I post a story I’m not a bias blogger. I understand the importance of building relationships and networking. I’m not arrogant but I still keep my skin tough because I am a women in this industry I walk by faith in not by sight so you won’t catch me doing publicity stunts or starting drama to get my blog noticed. I genuinely just keep a good ear and eye open for great information in this industry and watch out for snakes.

Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I learned that celebrities are humans just like they’re not perfect and that you can’t put nothing past anybody. to watermark all your work that’s the most important thing they don’t care if you’re an underground journalist they will steal your content watermark. Also, you don’t have to bash an entertainer based off your personal opinion about them, just post your story in keep it moving no need to leave a bad taste in anyone’s mouth of course people are going to think what they wanna but it’s best to leave your personal opinion Out of it. A lot of bloggers really don’t understand that for some reason. the best way to not get sued is to come with proof in hard facts. The Recognition will come just stay humble
