Today we’d like to introduce you to Elijah Jackson.
Hi Elijah, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I’ve been songwriting, producing, and performing for as long I can remember. During February 2020 when COVID-19 began to close down businesses, that’s when I set out on a journey to tell a story through my social media. I wholeheartedly threw myself into the media and entertainment industry in Atlanta, trying to blend into every environment and counting down the days until I could finally debut.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Homelessness, getting robbed three times, getting jumped 2, relapses with narcotics, messy breakups, losing loved ones to suicide, homicide, and the prison industrial complex. I really was just winging it. Even though it wasn’t a smooth road, it was a great story.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m simply a student of music. I guess my “specialty” has always been showmanship. I love to turn small concepts or ideas into grand-scale performances. I’m most proud of my family because I really couldn’t have done anything without their sacrifices. They are what sets me apart.
What makes you happy?
Music, money, boba tea, lemon pepper wings, and playing my guitar.
