Daily Inspiration: Meet Eric and Danisha Hudson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Eric and Danisha Hudson.

Hi Eric and Danisha, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory
The Jump Bounce was started in 2020 as a result of my first bounce house business, Jumping 4 Joi, that started in 2010. A coworker of mine had a few bouncers and was not interested in the business anymore. He made me a deal that I couldn’t refuse, and I agreed to purchase the bouncers. At the least, I could have them for my kids and any family events where children would be present, but renting them out allowed me to become an entrepreneur. I enjoyed the freedom of working for myself and having a business that brought joy and created memorable moments.

From that moment, I always knew that if I ever owned a business, it would revolve around family fun and entertainment through inflatable entertainment. Fast forward to 2020, my wife Danisha and I decided to give it another shot. We bought all new bouncers, concessions, games, movie screens and speakers. Once we received our inventory, we hit the ground running and had the opportunity to provide service to over 60 families during the pandemic with no issues in regards to COVID-19.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road to our current position has been a learning experience, but the ride was fun. In our business, the weather is the only struggle that we have faced, and that is uncontrollable.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
The Jump Bounce is known to create smiles, and assist in creating memorable moments with inflatable entertainment. We deliver all types of bouncers such as castles, combos, waterslides, movie screens, and even concessions. Our bouncers are great for all ages, and we have provided service to kid and adult events. We pride our self on keeping up to date inventory and making sure that our products are cleaned and sanitized after ever use. The Jump Bounce is a black owned, family operated business, and our values and dedication to pleasing our clients sets us apart from the rest.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
In regards to networking, we would say always have a business card or flyer, and do not be afraid to speak and give them out. We keep a stack of business cards or stickers on us, and we pass them out and speak to possible clients daily. Word of mouth and constant promotion has worked well for us. Social media is always a great way to reach a broader audience, and you can also pay to boost posts on Facebook. I know for a fact that boosting a post on Facebook works, and it also gives you info in regards to who your target audience may be.
