Hi Fadia, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I always loved drawing since I was a kid. I would always draw on notebooks or paper. My mom used to do henna so it came to my mind & I was like since I love drawing flowers and things like that, let me start doing henna designs. So I started by learning how to make henna cones & how to make the mixture for me to be able to start the art. Before I got to do anyone’s hand I wanted to practice doing henna on a notebook or paper, then I started drawing on my hands & my sisters. Then from there, I took a leap of faith and decided to take pictures and post my work on Instagram, I started getting Clients weekly & they would refer me to people, so it brought me more clients. My work wasn’t as great as now but people still believed in me and loved my work. I took this gift & talent that god has given me and ran with it & ever since then I only grew bigger. I believe that everyone has a gift and a talent and once you find it, hold it tight & run with it because it’ll take you a long way and it defines you to be honest, you’ll see that along the way.
I realize that our gifts/talents are what we are and what we’re going to become. I say that because as I grow older, I realized that I do not like working for people at all, I don’t like to be under anyone when I know I can be on the top. So I am very glad god has given me this gifted talent, I will continue being my own boss and take my entrepreneurship a long way to become financially stable. I started with less than a 100 followers on Instagram and currently, I have 3k followers on my business page, I’ve come along the way and you can too. You just have to be consistent, post content every day and put yourself out there so people can know you exist and you have a beautiful gift/talent that God has given you to bless others with it. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some struggles would be having to put all your time & effort in business to see success in it. You have to give it all your time because it’s your company and no one else will. Other struggles is having to worry about bringing clients to my home, I was a home-based artist and not everyone has good energy/spirit, but I’m glad that I have a suite now ☺️ another struggle is you have to have patience for growth, it won’t come like a snap of a finger you have to find ways to promote your business and gain clientele

I am a self-taught black-owned henna and makeup artist located in Atlanta, GA.
My business name is FadiaLuxeLooks. I’ve chosen this name because I provide luxurious henna designs for my clients and help them look pretty, confident and comfortable. I enjoy making women feel beautiful, so makeup is something that I’ve always loved doing & I decided to take it into business. Makeup enhances and shows a unique version of our beauty, so why not consider the art. ☺️ I am proud of not letting anything or anyone get in the way of my business life & if I ever have to take a break, I bounce back harder which makes me grow more into a successful business owner. What sets me apart from others: My mission is to help women feel more confident and happier with their own skin. Through a complete set of sessions, FadiaLuxeLooks will surely gain a significant share of the overall industry that will provide excellent quality products and services to satisfy its clients upon every visit. My work is also proven to be fast, easy, painless, affordable and temporary.
