Today we’d like to introduce you to Faikat Moliki.
Hi Faikat, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My story is really a blend of curiosity, creativity, and a love for impact!
started my career in tech after earning a degree in Computer Science and Media Informatics. Over the years, I’ve worn many hats — from software engineer to UX designer to AI engineer and more to now an operations leader in the aerospace industry. I’ve always been drawn to understanding how things work and how people interact with systems — which is probably why I’ve thrived in roles that sit at the intersection of tech, human experience, and strategy.
While climbing the ladder in tech, I also found myself craving a more personal, creative outlet. That’s when content creation came in. What started as a fun way to share my lifestyle, wellness routines, and career journey organically evolved into something bigger. I realized that by simply being myself online — balancing softness and ambition — I could inspire other young women, especially Black women, to pursue careers in tech, take their health seriously, and live life with intention.
Now, I get to do both: I work full-time in a role that fuels my passion for innovation and leadership, and I create digital content that connects, educates, and empowers. It’s been a journey of redefining success on my own terms, and I’m just getting started.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Not at all — but every bump has taught me something valuable.
In tech, being a Black woman often meant walking into rooms where I was the only one who looked like me. I dealt with imposter syndrome, people doubting my capabilities, and the pressure to constantly prove myself. I had to learn to advocate for myself, trust my voice, and stop shrinking in spaces that needed my perspective the most.
On the content side, it took time to figure out my voice, establish boundaries, and navigate brand partnerships — especially when I was doing everything myself. There were times I felt overlooked or lowballed, and I had to remind myself of my worth and why I started in the first place.
Balancing a full-time job in aerospace with content creation hasn’t been easy either. It requires structure, discipline, and knowing when to rest. But honestly, those challenges have helped me sharpen my priorities and build a life that feels aligned — not just successful on paper.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
By day, I work in the aerospace industry as a Project Management Specialist focused on operations and customer experience. My work sits at the intersection of tech, strategy, and people — I lead global initiatives that improve internal systems and drive lean processes. I’m passionate about building structure in chaotic environments and creating processes that actually work for the humans behind the data.
Outside of my 9–5, I’m also a content creator and digital storyteller. I create lifestyle, wellness, and career-focused content with an intentional twist — everything I share is rooted in helping women feel seen, soft, and empowered while still going after big goals. I talk openly about topics like boundaries, body care, feminine energy, and navigating the tech world as a Black woman.
What I’m most proud of is the fact that I’ve been able to build a multi-dimensional life — one where I don’t have to choose between being analytical and artistic, ambitious and soft, technical and creative. I’m not just building a career — I’m building a lifestyle rooted in purpose and wholeness.
What sets me apart is my perspective. I don’t just share highlight reels or technical wins — I bring people into the process, the pivot, the healing, and the hustle. I show up as myself — and I think people resonate with that honesty.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What I like best about our city:
I love the culture and the mix of people — there’s a certain energy here that feels inspiring. The food scene is amazing, and there’s always something happening, whether it’s pop-up markets, concerts, or new restaurants to try. I also appreciate how connected and creative the community is. You can find your people here.
What I like least about our city:
The traffic and cost of living can be a lot. Sometimes it feels like everything is overpriced and overly crowded, and it can be hard to find peace unless you really carve it out. I also wish there were more community-centered spaces that felt inclusive and accessible for everyone.
