Daily Inspiration: Meet Gabrielle Uwadileke

Today we’d like to introduce you to Gabrielle Uwadileke

Gabrielle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, and am currently an international student at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. As a freshman majoring in Journalism with a minor in Marketing, I have a deep passion for storytelling and content creation. My journey began on YouTube during the COVID-19 pandemic, where I initially created gaming content, primarily focused on Roblox. However, as I grew older, my interests shifted, and with the demands of secondary school, I took a long break from content creation.

Filming and editing had always been something I loved, so I knew I would eventually return. After graduating high school in 2024, I decided to fully commit to my social media and content creation journey as I transitioned into college. I started by documenting my final moments in high school and seamlessly continued as I began my college experience. Since then, I’ve been consistently creating content across YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram, sharing my journey and passions with my growing audience.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would say the journey has been fairly smooth so far, but one thing I still struggle with is not worrying about what others think. Before posting a video, I often second-guess myself, wondering how people will perceive it. Even when I’m out vlogging, taking pictures at an event, or creating content in public, I can’t help but feel self-conscious, as if people are watching and thinking, What is she doing? Sometimes, this holds me back from putting out my best content because I try so hard not to come across as weird or cringe-worthy to others.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a dynamic college student at Georgia State University, balancing academics with my passion for content creation. My platform focuses on sharing my experiences as an international student while showcasing college lifestyle, skincare, beauty, and fashion. I provide insights on student life at Georgia State University, tips for balancing academics and content creation, and recommendations for beauty and fashion trends that resonate with my audience. So far, since I started, I’ve had the opportunity to work with brands like Bubble Skincare, Thayers, Casely, etc. My content is also relatable and engaging, resonating with students navigating similar experiences.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
No, I think your previous questions covered it all.
