Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My name is Gani Shittu and I am the Founder and Lead Stylist of House of Simiraj. House of Simiraj is a fashion styling and consulting brand. With over a decade of experience working in retail houses like Tory Burch, Kenneth Cole, and Club Monaco, I’ve developed a keen eye for detail, fit, and timeless sophistication. That foundation inspired me to build a brand rooted in excellence and intention, one that merges luxury aesthetics with the richness of culture and personal storytelling.
Through bridal styling, wardrobe styling, corporate image consulting, and creative direction for editorial photoshoots, I curate experiences that go far beyond clothes. My work is about helping clients embody the most confident and authentic version of themselves. House of Simiraj has also been featured in leading publications and platforms such as Munaluchi Bride Magazine and Atlanta Style Weddings. Each feature represents a commitment to celebrating style, grace, and culture. This is the essence of what defines the Simiraj experience.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s been a rewarding one. Building House of Simiraj came with its share of challenges, from educating clients on the true value of having a stylist to helping them understand the impact of a stylist and how their needs can be met. I was born and raised in New York so transitioning from New York to Atlanta also came with a learning curve as I worked to build new relationships, learn the market, and establish trust within a different fashion community. Networking, marketing, and putting myself out there consistently hasn’t always been easy, but each step has strengthened my resilience and refined my approach. Every challenge has ultimately shaped me into a more grounded, purpose-driven stylist and business owner, and I will continue to grow through every season.

Yes as previously stated, I’m a luxury fashion and bridal stylist who helps clients look and feel powerful in every season of life. Through House of Simiraj, I specialize in bridal styling, wardrobe styling, and corporate image consulting. I’m known for merging luxury aesthetics with cultural depth and intentional storytelling, creating looks that reflect who my clients truly are and not just what they wear.
What I’m most proud of is the transformation my clients experience. For me its the confidence, joy, and self-assurance that come when they see themselves styled with purpose. What truly sets me apart is the Simiraj client experience. I go above and beyond for every client, ensuring they feel special, understood, and valued from the inside out. My approach goes deeper than clothes, it’s about connection, trust, and helping each client see themselves in a new light. Every detail matters, and every look I create embodies style, grace, and culture. This is the essence of what defines the Simiraj experience.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned throughout my journey is to run my own race. I’ve realized that comparison steals joy and focus, and that my path is uniquely mine. What’s meant for me will always find its way to me in its own time and season. I’ve learned to trust the process, stay grounded in my purpose, and believe that when you put in the hard work and stay consistent, God will always reward your faith and effort. That mindset has kept me balanced, grateful, and motivated to keep building, no matter the pace or the obstacles.
