Today we’d like to introduce you to Glenn Braunstein.
Hi Glenn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’m the owner of Pulse Performance Studio Buckhead. I had a successful 30 year career in corporate America working for some of the largest tech companies – the latest being Salesforce.com, as one of the first employees in Atlanta, where I spent over 17 years. I’ve always had a passion for fitness, health, and helping others ever since I was a young child. So in 2023, after a massive layoff at Salesforce, I decided to leave my long tech career and pursue my dreams of opening up a Fitness business where I can help individuals achieve their health and wellness goals. I learned about Pulse Performance Studio, which started in Austin, TX, and immediately fell in love with the concept of combining technology with fitness/wellness to help other achieve their goals. And that’s how Pulse Performance Studio of Buckhead was born!
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Yes and no. I’ve never considered myself an entrepreneur or sales person. So having to become an expert in all areas of the business, from design/construction of the facility, to marketing, sales, hiring, managing, client acquisition, and retention has been a tremendous learning experience but has been much harder than I even imagined!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a values-driven individual. One of my strongest values is helping others. So combining my passion for health/fitness along with the desire to help others has helped me make Pulse a place where clients come because we are truly passionate about helping them achieve their wellness goals. This drive to help others also forms my leadership style, as I empower my employees to test new things out and come up with creative ideas to grow the business and serve our clients, while helping them grow personally and professionally
Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
As ironic as it sounds, I guess I’d say I was lucky to get laid off when I did! Otherwise, I never would have found Pulse Performance Studio. 😉
