Hi Imani, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
It all started from TikTok. I was posting a bit of everything that I did & then one day, one of my videos went viral. From there I started to grow on Instagram & Twitter posting mirror pictures & silly videos. I started to do photoshoots of my own, people started to notice & reach out for modeling/promoting their products.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t been the bumpiest but it hasn’t been the smoothest either. Growing with social media, the algorithm, & consistently trying to figure out what’s going to keep you relevant can get pretty exhausting. But nevertheless, I don’t feed into the endless maze of comparison & constant changes, I look at this more of a way of life than a job because I’m doing what I love!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an influencer. I specialize in self-expression & I’m known for many things. I’m most proud of being able to build a real platform from the ground up by just being myself. What sets me apart from others is how versatile I am. I’m a chameleon.
What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
Stay true to yourself & don’t get lost in the endless maze of comparison. Be patient, be consistent, but also take time for yourself.
