Daily Inspiration: Meet Iyana Laws

Today we’d like to introduce you to Iyana Laws.

Hi Iyana, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Yoni Love LLC was born out of my own intense need for self-care after enduring a miscarriage in 2016. A major part of moving through that loss included making and wearing Waistbeads. I’m always fulfilled when supporting and nurturing others. So, naturally, my first strand of Waistbeads weren’t made for me but for a loved one. Sky blue beads (her favorite color) adorned with Rose Quartz & Amethyst for fertility and protection. After showing a picture of them to my Sister Circle…one requested to purchase a strand as a gift for an upcoming wedding…and the rest is history. I discovered that sending healing womb energy to others, by way of waistbeads, was vicariously healing my own. My work is truly a labor of love; an extension of my own self-care and personal growth.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Smooth isn’t necessarily a word I’d use to describe entrepreneurship. Lol That’s part of the excitement. Being in business for yourself keeps you on your toes.

I’d say one of my main challenges has been balancing holding space for my creativity while wearing all the hats (designer, accounting, marketing, bookkeeping, etc) as a solopreneur.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m a Waistbeads Designer, Mindfulness Workshop Facilitator & Certified Reiki Master Teacher. Most passionate about empowering women to prioritize reconnecting with self through Waistbeads (Intentional Adornments), creativity and energetic wellness.

I’m most proud of…still being here. The pandemic closed the doors of many businesses. So. I do not take for granted being able to say that Yoni Love LLC is still standing strong.

What sets me apart from others? Hmmm…perhaps that this work is truly a calling. This work chose me, it did not begin as a business. Waistbeads/adornment, mindfulness & energy work is woven into the tapestry of my own healing. It’s really an honor to share these tools with those who find it to be in alignment with their journey.

What does success mean to you?
For me, success is living a life you’ve chosen. It’s owning your time, having your basic needs met with ease…and enjoying many of your wants as well. Success is balance. Success is being well-rested and well-fed (literally, figuratively, spiritually). Success is being able to reach back and to the side, helping others create their own success stories.
