Daily Inspiration: Meet Jasing Yang

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasing Yang.

Jasing, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I began my content creation journey during my junior year of college, simply as a creative outlet. At the time, I never imagined it would grow into something more. What started as sharing skincare tips and beauty advice gradually evolved as I found myself exploring my creativity through food, local experiences, and hidden gems around Atlanta.

Along the way, I’ve built a wonderful community—people who’ve supported me, inspired me, and joined me in celebrating the everyday moments. Today, I continue to open that window into my world, inviting others to discover what’s exciting and meaningful in the spaces around us.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not at all—it often felt like I was paddling against the current. I was juggling school, trying to prepare for life after graduation, and navigating content creation entirely on my own, with no real roadmap. There were so many moments when I questioned if I was even moving in the right direction.

What helped me through were the amazing, supportive people I met along the way. Their encouragement reminded me that growth often comes with uncertainty. Every new opportunity brought a learning curve—and as long as I stayed open to reflecting and improving, it always worked out in the end.

I’ll never forget one early experience when a brand asked me for my portfolio, and I honestly had no idea what that was. I replied, “What’s a portfolio?”—and instead of turning me away, they patiently explained what it should include. They even walked me through appropriate rates for someone just starting out. I’m so grateful for that moment—it taught me that even when you don’t have it all figured out, kindness and willingness to learn can take you far.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m a small creator based in Atlanta, Georgia with a love for all things beauty, food, and lifestyle. What I’m probably most known for—and what I’m proud of—is my brutally honest reviews. If I don’t genuinely like a product, you’ll either see me skip talking about it altogether… or, if I do mention it, I don’t hold back. I keep it real because I have nothing to lose—and I think people appreciate that transparency in a space that can often feel overly polished.

But honesty alone isn’t enough. In today’s world of short attention spans, the real challenge is getting people to care—and that’s where creativity comes in. I put a lot of thought into how I deliver my reviews, using quick hooks and engaging visuals to make sure my message lands.

What sets me apart is that content creation started as my creative outlet. During school and even now in my corporate life, there are times when I feel boxed in. Social media became that space where I could be fully expressive and imaginative. I’m proud of how I’ve been able to carve out that space for myself—and now for others, too.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
The beauty industry is only going to continue growing—it’s been on an upward trajectory, especially since COVID, as more people began exploring self-care and beauty at home. But one thing I still see lacking is the speed of marketing.

Right now, most campaigns require a month and a half to two months of planning just to build up community excitement. I believe we’re going to see a major shift in that. As attention spans get shorter and the demand for immediacy grows, marketing strategies will need to evolve to keep up.

I predict we’ll see new tools and techniques emerge to help brands create hype and share product news in a much shorter window. Real-time, creator-led content might play a bigger role in bridging that gap and making launches feel more authentic and immediate.
