Daily Inspiration: Meet Jasming Jackson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasming Jackson.

Hi Jasming, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My passion for art has always been a big thing in my life. It helped me escape a lot of challenges I had faced growing up. Once that pencil touch that paper, my creative thoughts began to flow out. Everything around me didn’t matter at that point. I would draw or paint for hours until my mind was ready to rest.

As I got older, I began to think about having my own style. I enjoyed drawing my favorite cartoon characters, but I didn’t want to keep drawing somebody else’s creations. I wanted to create my own and let them be whatever I wanted them to be.

So fast-forwarding to 1/23/2018, that’s when Namelss was born. Namelss is my everything. My characters are beautiful, weird, dope, awkward and that’s me to be honest. It got to a point I started to feel comfortable to share my artwork on social media, and the love I got from others was amazing. I recently had a popup shop and released my online store, which has my paintings, clothing, art prints, stickers etc. I’m at a point in my life that I have so many goals to achieve, and I’m ready to see where this chapter will take me.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
‭‭It hasn’t been smooth. Facing many challenges as a child really had a affected on my adult life. Family passing, depression, family drama, and my anxiety. The only thing that helps me get through everything is art.‬‬ I don’t know where I’ll be without it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
‭I’m known for my Namelss artwork, but I specialize in drawing, painting, and digital art. Drawing and painting have been in my life for a minute, but I started to do digital art back in 2018. I just love how digital art looks. It makes your drawings come to life. ‬What sets my work apart from others is the looks I come up with and sometimes the meaning behind the drawing. Mainly the looks cause of the color scheme and how odd it looks. ‬‭The thing that makes me proud in general is the fact I’m able to express my‭self through my drawings ‭and ‬‬knowing others really appreciate it.‬

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My advice is to make sure your ready for anything that comes your way. People are gonna come at you with some different type of energies . Just make sure to have confidence and balance within yourself and your work. Make sure you protect your ART!! So many people are willing to copy somebody else’s work and call it their own. Protect your work is a must. Lastly, stay true to yourself, and continue to believe in yourself. Your gonna have ups and down moments and your going have people that are gonna have doubts in your process. And, to be honest…let them. Trust your process. One thing my Virgo sister told me is “ You don’t receive the fruit the same day you plant the seed”. Which means things aren’t gonna pop off on the first time… Its gonna take some time. Maintain and stay focus.
