Today we’d like to introduce you to Jazmine Nichole.
Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I started my journey with writing and becoming an author in 2015. I’ve always created and told stories, but after the murder of my little sister, it became my therapy. She has always been my cheerleader in storytelling and would often encourage me to write a book. I completed my first book, Honey Love: A Street Erotica, within a week. I wrote as often as I could to get my mind off of the grief I was experiencing. I sat on that novel for an entire year, afraid to put it out for the world to see, but I thought about how outgoing my sister was and how loudly she would cheer for me upon its release. I released the book a year later and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I love creating and telling stories; it’s truly a talent that comes to me naturally. I am currently working on the third book of my Honey Love Series while also working on a collection of short stories My books are now sold in major stores and websites such as Walmart, Barnes & Noble, Books A Million, and Amazon. The next step in this journey is to get my stories on the big screen!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
In the beginning, the journey was a rocky one. That was more so coming from me not believing in myself enough. I had to learn to see what others saw and loved in me. Once I mastered that and began giving myself the flowers I deserved, things became a lot smoother.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am an author of Street Erotica, a genre that I coined together to describe the type of stories I create. My stories are relatable to readers who are familiar with the rawness and cultured events of the streets but also explore the sensual, seductive side that is often overlooked. I specialize in the art of storytelling. I am known for bringing my stories to life. Not only will I capture your attention with my words, but I will visually capture my audience as well. That is what sets me apart form others, when reading my books you will feel as if you are in the book itself. You will be able to relate to the characters, rather it’s something you’ve experienced yourself or know someone who has.
We love surprises, fun facts and unexpected stories. Is there something you can share that might surprise us?
I am an extremely shy person, lol. Despite the content I write about and my social media posts, I am a shy person.
